All most 5 years....

I am obviously not a good blogger. Over the last 5 years I have continued to do some work in ceramics but am now more devoted to the craft and my art. A better place to see and communicate is Instagram. Blogging is a something that take too much time, when all we really want to do is see pictures of our work and add comments, maybe even contact the artist to inquire about a commission or purchase. Please check me out at my new Instagram account, the one I set up a few years ago has disappeared in to the web somewhere. more posts are coming.

Hello, and welcome...

Well this is the inaugural post of Spinning Stone Pottery. I am starting an in devour that will take me somewhere. I'm not sure where, but I hope it is a good time on the way. This blog will be a place for me to showcase my work and passion for making pottery. I have been throwing clay on a wheel, on and off, for a couple of years now and find it is the one place that I can just be. Just be in the sense of one with myself. I feel that when I lay my hands on that wobbly ball of clay and it not so slowly conforms to the touch of my hands, serenity and full relaxation cover me. There is little else in this world that has come more naturally to me than this. I am nervous putting myself out there for the critical eyes of the world to see but hopefully you will see something you like and want to use it in your home.  All of the pottery on this site is for sale and if there is something you like but it is already sold I am willing and able to do a commissioned work for you, because it is hand made and the way glazes work chemically the piece will not be exactly the same but it will be comparable. Well, have fun reading and checking out my work.
